We are told in the sacred Scriptures, that we are sinners saved by grace through faith, and that not of ourselves but is a gift of God. The apostle declared, that while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves are found to be sinners! There is a spiritual warfare which is being fought continually within the mind of the converted Christian: a war that is with the Spirit and the flesh! The apostle Paul declared, "For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bring me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin. (Romans-7:22-25). There is a struggle, which is on a continual daily bases, within the mind of the Christian. The apostle instructed, that the Christian should, "Walk in the Spirit and ye shall not fulfill the desires of the flesh." The struggle begains at the very second of conversation and ends at the very second of death! It is indeed a struggle which continues daily! If someone tell you that bing a christian, and living the lifestyle of a Christian will be an easy matter, do not believe them: it most certainly will be the very opposite! When God delivered the children of Israel from out of Egypt, God led them a hard way, instead of the easy way God could have led them. What took them forty years in the wilderness of sin should have taken them only forty days and the bible declare, that with many of them God was not well pleased, and they died in the wilderness of sin! It is the same with Christians today, spiritually speaking, we are in the wilderness of sin, headed for the promised land across the Jordan, and as did the Isarelites, so are we, "Striving Against Sin" my friend, "The Struggle Continue!"
