When it comes to mental health and how it is perceived and communicated about; things are certainly changing for the better. As a Creative Mental Health charity, we couldn't be happier.But this is just the beginning of the journey, and PoetsIN are blazing a trail. We aid mental wellbeing and the reduction of mental illness symptoms through the power of words - both written and spoken - the power of community, and the power of understanding and honesty. We are INclusive, INspiring, and we treat everyone as an INdividual.Founded by two writers who have struggled with and still hold their own black dogs at bay, assisted by a dedicated team managing their own mental health; PoetsIN are here to stop the stigma attached to mental health and provide a safe and supportive means of purging through in-person and online workshops, a closed Facebook group, a listening service and books such as this.Stop the Stigma II is a collection of words and works written by service users, friends of PoetsIN, and group members from across the globe. You will find poetry, prose and fiction with a common theme.
