Where do you go when emotions run high from the joy or despair of life, when the need for uplift and inspiration grips you? What do you do when the feelings locked up inside you begin to seethe and you are bursting with the need to release them, but the words will not come? Life fills us with experiences that cause this condition. My Pastoral years provided an almost endless supply of circumstances such as these. The Dedication of a child, the wedding of two precious parishioners, the conversion of a lost soul, the sickness, death or catastrophe of someone, etc., these have filled my heart and closed my mouth more times than I can say. My Lord, Jesus Christ, left words that provide the best solution. "Enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. Matthew 6:6 The rhymes written in Spiritual Perspectives come from this base. In the place of solitude, I commune with my Lord and then wait for the inner spirit to unlock thought that will provide appropriate words. Additionally, inspiration often comes from things written by others; some of these are included. I believe they will attest to the same source, the holy spirit of the Almighty and Only Living God. These, are our spiritual perspectives.
