This book is about human behavior, drawn from academic fields of research and includes examples from everyday life. It is an introductory text to the concept of "consideration" which of and by itself is the ability to think above and beyond emotional contexts based on opinions and beliefs. Although most behavioral research tends to focus on single themes, this book takes a broad brush approach to speech and behavior in general by including discussions of some of those single issues, such as motivation, attitude, relevance, decision-making, truth and justice. The underlying premise for the book is that each of us functions in pursuit of various needs and wants that structure our existence. In fulfilling those needs and wants, speech and behavior emerges that often misses the mark in achieving those goals. Why that happens and the various causes are what fills the chapters of this publication. This is not a do-it-yourself reader, but it does provide an understanding of why people resist or are simply unable to reach their full potential as human beings.
