Noncarious cervical lesion is a chronic destructive process occurring at the neck of the tooth unrelated to dental caries. The prevalence of the NCCL is increasing wordwide particularly among the young adults. Several risk factors are involved in the development and progression of the lesion. NCCL and GR are hard and soft tissue lesions mutually related to each other and affect the cervical region of the tooth. CDH in the primary concern in patients with NCCL and GR. The degree of CDH varies according to the type and severity of the lesions and the risk factors involved. CDH have a significant impact on the individuals OHRQoL. The primary focus in the management of NCCL should be on controlling the risk factors.
