George was not born with a "silver spoon" in his mouth, but grew up in poverty under the harshest conditions. His resume reads more like a Forbes list of the Ten Most Influential Entrepreneurs than that of one man.The Cartoon Channel and Toon TV stand out among George's most prestigious accomplishments. George founded, created and served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Cartoon Channel, now known as the Cartoon Network. With 250-300 million viewers per day, the Cartoon Network is the world's largest television network other than CNN in the height of their world dominance in global crisis. Toon TV is known today as Toon Disney, which is part of one of the world's most recognized entertainment channels. More recently in 2010, with a three billion dollar proof of funds, George made a bid to purchase MGM (Metro Goldwyn Mayer) in an effort to build the world's largest television network.Since 2001, George has been an active national and worldwide advisory board member of A Child Is Missing (ACIM). ACIM operates as the first response program that works exclusively with law enforcement in the first few critical hours of a child's disappearance. George is also the Co-Founder of the Missing Children's Registry-a global registry of missing children.In George's efforts to raise funds and awareness for ACIM, he created the organization Climb for America's Children (CFAC). Under the banner of CFAC he climbed Mt. McKinley and then Mt. Everest. Amazingly, George climbed and summited Mt. Everest just two-and-a-half months after undergoing five consecutive cancer surgeries. Then, after spending 77 days on Everest, he returned home to endure his sixth cancer surgery and is cancer-free today.George's life has by no means been an easy one. George has suffered financial ruin, corporate theft, mafia harassment, the loss of numerous family members, and cancer.
