Having in mind the quotes of Aristotle (384 BC - 322 BC) "Everybody, by nature, desires knowledge", and of Benjamin Franklin (1706 - 1790) "An investment in knowledge pays the best interest", we decided to present this book about the historical year 2017, so full of important events, but many so little known. This book also proves another fundamental truth, first stated about 2,500 years ago by the illustrious pre-Socratic Greek philosopher Heraclitus of Ephesus (c 535 BC - c 475 BC, aged c 60): "The only constant is change."We used information from 12 "Dediu Newsletters", in a chronological order, which include the most relevant news, in a balanced approach, usually directly from the source, not transformed by commentators, to help the general public to better understand the realities around us, which realities are sometimes not so pleasant, but always significant. We also included several nice photos.It is very essential to inform the general public of this generation (and also of the future generations) about the many significant events and comments, which took place in this momentous year 2017. The more people know about what it happened, the better are chances that the severe problems, which need to be solved, will find the right and peaceful solutions.Being well informed is a sine qua non requirement for everybody, in order to make the right decisions for the future.The more you read, the more you'll love it! This year 2017 will change many things, and any reader, no matter from what part of the world, will definitely find, in this book of general interest, numerous useful information, which will help them to better understand current events, and prepare them for a better future.
